Paralegal of the Quarter Award

722 Redemption Welcomes New Corporate Counsel
We are honored to introduce Steven A. Elmer as Corporate Counsel. Steven received his B.S. from Indiana University and his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. He is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
Prior to joining 722, Steven gained significant bankruptcy experience as a debtor's attorney representing hundreds of clients in Chapter 7s and 13s. He also has significant experience in insurance defense and personal injury matters.
Steven currently resides in Indianapolis, but will be relocating to Cincinnati with his wife, Lacy, and three dogs. He enjoys watching the Philadelphia Eagles, running, traveling and volunteering at the local Ronald McDonald House.

Case Law: Setting Replacement Value
In determining the "replacement value" of an automobile under 11 U.S.C. § 506(a)(2), the retail value of an identical make and model car is the starting point with certain expenses, including reconditioning and the retail cost of repairs, as allowable deductions.

Running Down Cancer
As you may be aware, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In an effort to raise money to help cover the cost of a cancer-related medical bankruptcy, 722 Redemption Funding, along with its affiliates and vendors, are forming a team to run the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati in May 2012.
